Your Role and Responsibilities
As a member of the Mainframe Storage Team, candidate will be responsible for the Management of Storage and related devices within a mainframe complex. Candidate must have working knowledge of Storage fundamentals, z/OS (MVS) fundamentals, and Storage Devices. Candidate will be expected to posses or gain knowledge of storage management software products including the IBM DFSMSxxx products, CA products, zDMF and others. Candidate will be expected to posses or gain knowledge of storage hardware subsystems including IBM, EMC, HDS, DASD and Removable Media Devices. A plus would be system programming skills in z/OS (MVS), Job Entry Subsystems(JES), and database management systems.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Support problem and change tickets for storage systems support work involving problem determination and implementation of changes to storage devices, data backups, software, applications or network systems. The work consists of performing primarily routine and standardized sets of tasks. The work may involve a series of repeatable tasks and steps that are followed when addressing service needs or situations for a particular account. Team members participate once or more a day in cadence discussion on team performance. These meetings are typically led by the primary pool manager or Dispatcher. They discuss issues or challenges, and receive trouble-shooting input /advice from other team members. They may also discuss team performance trends. Primary pool team members may also separately interact and exchange information with members of cross-pool teams.

Required:
-At least 3 years experience in at least one or more of the following: z/OS Operating System, Z Series Hardware, Mainframe Storage Management
-At least 3 years experience in at least one or more of the following: installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning and configuring relevant technologies
-At least 3 years experience in of one or more of the following: SMS, DFHSM, RMM
– English: Intermediate

Preferred:
-At least 5 years experience in at least one or more of the following: z/OS Operating System, Z Series Hardware, Mainframe Storage Management
-At least 5 years experience in at least one or more of the following: installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning and configuring relevant technologies
-At least 1 year experience in Maximo tool
-At least 4 years experience in of one or more of the following: SMS, DFHSM, RMM, CA1, CA-Vantage, CA-Disk -Certified in DS8 or other storage technologies – HCD Skills

• Fully understand z/OS services structure, JES2 concept, Parallel Sysplex
• PARMLIB and JES2 customization/configuration
• Practical JCL, REXX and CLIST knowledge
• Practical SMP/E knowledge
• Knowledge of IBM DS8K (DS8800, DS8870), IBM V7000, IBM TS7720, IBM TS3310
• Brocade DCX8510-4 (In Cascaded FICON environment)
• DFSMS, DFSMSrmm, DFSMShsm, Catalog management
• z/OS HW, IODF and matrix knowledge
• Basic RACF knowledge

• NetView/System Automation knowledge
• GDPS PPRC knowledge
• TWS
• Practical HLASM knowledge
• VTAM/TCPIP knowlege
• Knowledge of printing system on mainframe
• French language skills are welcome
