Who we are looking for:
Do you have experience in product integration with facilities, products and equipment? Does being organized help you achieve your goals? Do you enjoy leading a team of people? If so, you might be the newest member of our Production Team. Geotab is actively seeking a Production Integration, Team Lead who can support and lead a production team, as well as collaborate with other departments, to develop automation strategies. What are the details of this position:
The Production Integration, Team Lead is responsible for managing the introduction of new production facilities, products; organizing equipment; defining processes and reviewing differences between internal processes and external requests for deviations. You will report to the Senior Production and Quality Manager and be accountable for all documentation associated with ensuring controls across the entire supply base.

Duties and Tasks/Essential Functions

  • Align and manage change order rollouts throughout various facilities within a timely manner.
  • Implement change orders through the entire supply base.
  • Review supplier equipment, process concerns and change requests for internal discussions.
  • Manage new equipment orders and spare parts between channels.
  • Manage production equipment inventory at all locations.
  • Develop process FMEA’s, control plans and work instructions for all products.
  • Strategically lead discussions to understand process changes as well as existing or new line additions.
  • Develop automation strategies with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Provide expert project leadership and guidance to team as SME.
  • Oversee the activities and performance of direct reports:Provide direction, coaching and mentorship to the team.
  • Engage in the development of the team by coaching, providing feedback, identifying areas of growth and training opportunities.
  • Collaborate and support employees during the performance management process, meeting KPAs and career development planning.

Experience/Skills Required

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position.
  • Managerial experience preferred.
  • Clear understanding of concept to production best practices.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve to well-judged decisions.
  • Strategic mindset, has a keen sense of priorities, along with an ability to pivot as the landscape changes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with delivering presentations and training.
  • Must stay relevant to technology and should have the flexibility to adapt to the growing technology and market demands.
  • Leadership experience in a team-oriented workplace.
  • Success with coaching and development of employees.
  • High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.
  • A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization
